CANCELLATION POLICY
If you would like to reserve a time with your teacher for the term, it is important you understand and agree to the following agreement before enrolment.
BFSM does understand that things can come up during term, which can make it difficult to attend your lesson. If you inform your teacher you are unable to attend your lesson with 24 hours notice, you can re-schedule your lesson or cancel your session.
If you do not turn up for a lesson or have not given sufficient notice, your lesson fee will not be refunded and your lesson will not be re-scheduled. If you are paying lesson by lesson, you will need to pay the teacher for the missed lesson.
If you are unable to attend your lesson on site, you can arrange for your lesson to be delivered online.
To organise this, please contact your teacher as early as you can.
If you are uncommitted for the term, with regular attendance issues, your teacher holds the right to offer your lesson time to another student. If this is the case, your teacher will remind you of this prior to making any changes to your enrolment.
Under special circumstances, money may be credited and/or your lessons re- scheduled but it is important to speak to your teacher if this applies to you. No refunds will be made for lessons.
There are no refunds if lessons are cancelled mid term. Lessons may be credited and used for other instruments or students.
Our payment policy allows you to make payments for each lesson as you go, so if this concerns you, please arrange weekly payment rather than paying in advance.
BFSM holds the right to cancel all future classes if your payment is in arrears.
AWAY POLICY
Everyone knows taking holidays during school terms are cheaper than during school holidays!
If you are going away mid term for 2 weeks - your spot will be reserved for you. Please remember to give 24 hours notice of your absence.
​If you are going away for more than 2 weeks, the additional lessons will need to be paid for to reserve your lesson time.
These lessons can then be rescheduled to a time that suits during the term (depending on availability)
Otherwise, you may choose to cancel your lessons and re-book upon your return.
Please note: there is no guarantee your spot will still be available.
SICK POLICY
If you are sick 24 hours before your lesson, please cancel or reschedule your lesson. Aside from spreading the illness to your teacher & other BFSM students, it is best for you to rest. If you are a singing student with a sore throat, we recommend vocal rest until you feel comfortable. If you are unsure, feel free to contact your teacher for advice.
If you end up feeling better in time for your lesson, you can then contact your teacher to re-book. This will help to avoid being out of pocket for lessons not received.
If you do not show up for your lesson or you cancel within 24 hours of the lesson, fees will still apply.
If you wake up on the day of your lesson showing symptoms of illness but you are still able to have a lesson,
please contact your teacher to arrange an online lesson as soon as possible.
BFSM is as flexible as possible because we know its not your choice to be sick! As you can understand, BFSM also can't prevent your absences and so in order to keep BFSM running, there needs to be the option for us to fill lesson spots from our waiting list.
If you are concerned about this policy, perhaps consider booking casually rather than reserving a spot with your teacher to prevent absences without notice.
