ABOUT ME

Bachelor of Applied Music – Box Hill Institute

Jess is a graduate of Box Hill Institute. During her studies she developed a strong interest in choir, vocal technique, and different teaching methods, while also learning guitar and piano.

Jess has been singing for as long as she can remember, growing up in a musical family, and has been performing for over a decade. As a performer and vocalist, Jess enjoys the challenge of reaching high notes, singing close harmonies, and exploring different vocal tones. She also has a strong understanding of performance anxiety and enjoys supporting students who are thinking about taking the leap into performing.

Jess is also passionate about songwriting and loves helping students get started. She has a strong understanding of song structure, lyrics, and melody, and enjoys seeing the creative ideas students bring to their music.

Jess has run songwriting workshops at BFSM, has released her own music, and regularly performs her original songs around Melbourne venues. She is currently recording her debut full-length album, continuing to pursue her creativity as an artist.

On most weekend mornings Jess can be found busking with the Melbourne Farmers Markets group, performing whenever she gets the opportunity.
