ABOUT ME
Associate Degree of Applied Music – Box Hill Institute
Bianca Hopkins is a professional vocalist, educator, and co-founder of BFSM, which she has owned, managed, and taught at since its opening in Term 2, 2013 alongside her husband, Dayna.
With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Bianca has worked as a lead and backing vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist. She has performed in both original and cover acts throughout Melbourne and internationally.
Bianca is a passionate voice teacher with 18 years of experience teaching vocal technique across a variety of settings including BFSM, primary and secondary schools, and Box Hill Institute. She holds a Certificate of Estill Figure Proficiency under the guidance of CCI Naomi Eyers and has completed Estill Voice Training Levels 1 & 2. Her teaching is strongly informed by her interest in vocal health, voice science, and performance technique.
Alongside teaching, Bianca has extensive experience in event coordination, concert production, cabaret direction, and musical theatre, and particularly enjoys working with choirs and vocal ensembles.
Outside the studio, Bianca is a proud mum to two boys, Nate and Andy, who are often spotted around BFSM. She has hosted The Performer’s Mind Podcast, based on her book of the same name, supporting performers in managing performance anxiety.
